ARCHITECTS SET TO CONQUER THE CHINESE ELDORADO
Italian architecture is conquering the Chinese market where building sites are a more or less permanent feature of the landscape and where the old, low buildings of the cities are being transformed into new hi-rise constructions that reflect the development and power of this country: a major opportunity for the design and building sectors.
Large studios and also small firms are therefore exploring this market which is currently the place with the highest construction activity.
Progetto Cmr - one of the largest Italian architectural firms - relates its experience and on-going projects in various Chinese cities: the works involve a constructed area of two million square meters.
