METECNO EXTENDS TO BULGARIA AND INDIA.
PLANNED EXPANSION IN CHINA TO INCLUDE NEW PRODUCTION LINES.

Italian group Metecno, already present in 30 countries and with production of over 40 million square metres of panels per year, is to open new plants in another two countries: Bulgaria and India. Implementation of production in China is also planned with the launch of at least 3 new lines.

The Group is a market leader not only in the design and production of panels for civil and industrial construction, but invests resources in research to guarantee a presence at worldwide level and optimisation of supply times.

In fact - whereas the new plants in Bulgaria and India are traditional production lines - Metecno has patented a mobile production line, destined to quickly reach areas struck by environmental disasters, but also to test new markets such as Dubai.

The production line can be packed into 22 containers - shippable anywhere - and is reassembled in a 20-30 day time span. The use of 4 human resources per day is sufficient to cover a thousand square metres of roofing.

Metecno, with a turnover of around 385 million Euros in 2005 (+12% over the previous year) plans listing over the next twelve months, significant growth in Asia and to reach the turnover milestone of 520 million Euros in 2008.

METECNO INDUSTRIE SPA: INNOVATIVE PANELS

The fabricated metal panel, a sandwich of two sheets of metal and polyurethane foam, is, only apparently, an element about which everything has already been said, designed and industrialized and which requires only low-cost production, denying the possibility of, in some cases, absolutely innovative improvements to design.
This is not, however, the case of Metecno, which produces ever more innovative panels using technological forefront, continuous and non-continuous lines, also designed and constructed by the company.
Metecno's distinctive characteristic is that of producing large volumes of often not standardized panels of great technological and geometrical complexity.
Backed by its international standing and resulting know-how of technological offerings and market demand in the sector in which it operates, Metecno has considered it possible and necessary to implement a program of technological innovation with the final goal of radical renewal of production technology in order to address the market with higher quality products able to cater to specific requirements.
